#ComeOutOfTheCold
I am blessed and privileged to spend some of my Friday evenings with a group of God fearing women from all ages, married, single and divorced praying together, encouraging one another, impart wisdom nuggets and learn from one another. This Friday on international women's day was no different. Raw honest truths were shared about the state of ourselves, women in general and the faithfulness of God.
I came away with these words "come out of the cold" heavily on my heart. Sitting in my lounge this morning with a cup of tea before church, in quietness these words came flooding into my mind and I felt compelled to write it down.
"Come out of the cold. It is time for you to find your place of belonging. Some of you have been out in the cold far too long and if you stay there you will die. I am not talking about a physical death, but of a spiritual death."
Jesus wants you to come into the warmth of His love. Come take your place at the master's table. He set a place just for you at the family table. For those who left the family, it is time to come home and those who do not know Him, he says " come join the family. Ephesians 2:17-18; Christ came and preached peace to us outsiders. He treated us as equals, and so made us equals. Through him we both share the same Spirit and have equal access to the Father (The Message).
I have loved you before the foundations of the earth and still love you with an everlasting love. I have a plan and a purpose for you. Ephesians 1:4-5; Long before he laid down earth's foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ (The Message).
God says "it is time my daughter's know they are loved, forgiven, set free and they belong."
